Comparing Ponyboy and Greg

            Ponyboy and Greg are two different people. Ponyboy comes from a place where poverty and crime are common. Greg comes from an ideal place with two parents that love him dearly. Even though they are different people, they share the same thing

For the first similarity they like to write and they try to fit into every group and do not make it in. They have a good I.Q, get good makes in high school, and like to read books. Ponyboy dresses like a greaser and he talks like a greaser, and Steve thinks that Ponyboy is a tag along with Sodapop. Greg is just coming out of Junior High School and he thinks that he can fit into everything at school like Ponyboy but they do not fit in. Greg is also mean to his friends and he thinks that it is good that he broke his friend's arm by throwing a football at a big wheel bike. Greg lied about dumping the kindgarteners in a hole. Greg thinks he dresses fine and his friends think that he does not and he has bad taste in music. Both Ponyboy and Greg are insecure, and they don`t think. They believe in themself and they think that they are good enough but they are not.

Ponyboy gets bullied by Steve but Soda sticks up for him. Greg gets bullied by his brother and by Patty at school and he nobody sticks up for him unlike Ponyboy. Greg also get bullied by 3 guys and then he wrecks their truck using a weed wacker.
           Both Ponyboy and Greg are loved by their families. But Greg's family shows it too much and Ponyboy's family doesn't really show it much. Ponyboy's friends like him but they think he is too smart. Greg's friends sometimes don't treat him very nicely.     
            I can see that Greg and Ponyboy have some things in common, even though they come from two different lifestyles.  They both want to fit in with everything and everyone else, they just need to be themselves and try not to fit in so hard. Bullying has changed their lives. Bullying can happen to anyone just like Ponyboy and Greg. It doesn't matter who you are, it can happen.
